TSJ’s current faves

Hey guys! Welcome to my first ‘current faves’ post. I will be doing one of these every few months as I’m always finding (and obsessing!) over new products and why not share some tricks along the way. They will just be brief descriptions so for extra info, just click on the links I’ve provided. 🙂 I will also be doing a make up tutorial soon if you want to see how some of these are actually applied.

Hourglass Ambient Powder Wardrobe – Oh. My. God. Wow! This is an amazing soft focus finishing powder that will also act as a setting powder for your foundation. Seriously, every time I wear this, I get complements on how nice and flawless my makeup looks. It gives you that beautiful dewy and glowy look seen all over the red carpets and on the celebrities at the moment. The main thing I love about it is even though its gives a shimmer, you will look far, far from a disco ball gone wrong. 🙂 It’s so subtle and soft. There are three colours in one palette as a limited edition. Two of the colours are from their permanent range and the middle one, my fave, is limited edition (of course the fave is!) 🙂  I usually add Incandescent light around my eyes, forehead, chin nose and cupids bow first as it highlights and brightens the complexion. Then I actually run my brush along all three colours at once for that perfect mix of warm and cool tones then apply it to my cheeks and lightly everywhere else. Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer – If you are after a light wearing, breathable and easy to apply concealer, look no further! I love this stuff as if feels so hydrating and really does the trick of making you look like you’ve really had that extra 4 hours sleep you probably should have (instead of staying up and checking Facebook and Instagram – C’mon, we’re all guilty) 🙂 Click here for more info.

Snobgirls Prestocure – This is by far one of the best hair products I have come across in my 17 years of hairdressing! I discovered them at Hair Expo last year and now sell them in my salon and pretty much all my clients are addicted to it. The eight serum varieties are prescribed by hair care professionals only and are catered to varying hair and scalp requirements. It actually will work as a multi-vitamin for your hair and improve the condition long term. A bonus is thats it’s all 100% natural and chemical free. Click here for more info.

Hair & Me Hair Rejuvenation Treatment – As a hairdresser, I’m really fussy about what products I put in my hair. I can definitely say this is one I really enjoyed! It’s an intense treatment that will repair and hydrate your hair. It’s 100% natural using coconut, macadamia, jojoba and almond oil which smells devine!! I find a little goes along way and I use it every few weeks. Click here for more info.

Shanghai Suzy Lipsticks – Is there such thing as L.A. (Lipstick Anonymous) because I think I have an actual problem 🙂 I have way too many lipsticks to count! I came across Shanghai Suzy on Instagram and various stores and loved it. It’s such a gorgeous wearing highly pigmented lipstick and so affordable. ($12.95 a pop!) They have the most gorgeous colours and they are all animal cruelty free. I fell in love with these so I sell them in my salon too! Click here for more info.

Josie Maran Pure Argan Milk –  The most perfect hydrating serum ever! It’s light weight, but gives you that intense hydration… fast!  It’s made up of purified water and 100% Pure Argan Oil. I found since using this, my skin felt super baby soft and nourished. I use it everyday under my moisturiser. Click here for more info.

Jar Body –  These scrubs are beautiful. It was so hard to chose which one to get as they all smelt so yum! I went for the coffee one and it smells good enough to eat. They work really well to exfoliate your body and after a few uses, I could really feel how soft and smooth it made my skin. Definitely worth the pamper. Click here for more info.

Witchery Beauty-  I fell in love with this grey shade and had to try it. They call their polishes ‘gel polish’ and I can see why. They are very similar to the look of gel as they build up thick on your nails and have that super shine finish of gel. I was really happy with the result and lasting properties.
