Sports luxe maxi dress

Well this dress just had #thatssojen written all over it! I’m not much of a maxi dress fan usually, but give me a bit of sports luxe mix and I’m in! I was drawn to the number print which gave it that instant street appeal that I love. I just love how something so simple like a printed number with different textures and patterns can transform a feminine piece such as a maxi dress into a sports luxe look. I must mention these shoes I got in Abu Dhabi (blog post on the full trip soon) which I instantly crushed on as soon as I saw them. The shape of the heel, the front detailing and the comfort all won me over. Love!

As you can see in the pictures, I experimented with different ways to wear this piece. It’s meant to be worn all down, but I thought tying the knot at the front changed the look of it again, which I loved! Personally, I feel it made it a touch more dressy tied up. Don’t be scared to try different ways of wearing an item. I always try to tweak clothes and make them look how I like with a simple tuck in, a knot or even sometimes a snip. 🙂 Lately I love buying plain T-shirts a bit bigger and tying a knot at the front so it becomes a bit more like a crop. I also have a few maxi skirts which I grab one side from the bottom and tuck it in to the top and Voila, it becomes more of a midi/angled skirt. I currently have an obsession with putting rips into my plain jeans to get the rips exactly how I want them. OCD much? 🙂 What kind of items of clothing have you changed to make it look the way you like?
