Bali 2014

This trip was incredible! To be honest, we were very hesitant to ever go to Bali and it was one of those destination that was last on our list. When Matt’s parents suggested we go on a family trip to Bali, we decided to go and experience something different. We are SO glad we went!Bali is full of beautiful scenery and culture. Apart from the laying around the pools and beaches there is actually quite a lot to see and do. We were really surprised by it.

We had a full day tour and saw the monkey forest, the Batik silk factory, silver factory, coffee plantation and the Tanah Lot temple. My personal favourite was the Tanah Lot temple. It was just stunning!

We had so much fun exploring, so the next day we decided to do a half day trip to Ubud and visit the rice terraces in Tegalalang. This was simply breathtaking and was like nothing I’ve ever seen before. I felt like I was in a postcard and the photos you get here alone are worth it. Do not miss the opportunity to see this amazing place!

Whenever we are on our way home at the end of each trip, we reflect on the time we had and think about what we learned from the trip. Travel is such a beautiful thing and is summarised eloquently in the quote: ‘Travel is the one thing you buy that makes you richer!’  This trip in particular we realised that doing things you wouldn’t normally do can quite often be some of the best! Take advice from others but also experience things for yourself.

This video was cute to make as we got to include our family and it will be a great memory we had with them that we will cherish forever. It’s my tradition to make these music clip type videos, set to a song for our travels to give our videos a point of difference. Be sure to check out the others by clicking on the travel videos tag on the home page!
