Valentine's Day outfits for the not so girly girl

You’ll rarely catch me in floral or flowy type dresses. I’m definitely more your T-shirt dress, denim or stripes kinda girl, which lead me to think about some Valentine’s Day outfits. I still wanted to feel dressed up and pretty, but remain true to my style, without wearing frills or red, which is not my colour of choice and also does not have to be a be must for Valentine’s Day. Then I thought, there must be so many girls that also have an inner Tomboy and struggle with what to wear on these occasions, so I put together five outfits for some inspiration on what to wear on your Valentine’s Day date!

Like me, if you’re not into reds or floral prints, consider plain denim, subtle blush pinks, stripes, leather, accessorising and bright lipsticks to give you a bit of colour while keeping the other tones muted. I love sticking to simple tones like grey, black, white and blush. When it comes to prints, my preference is stripes, spots, leopard or geometric, which I think still make you feel feminine if you are not a fan of floral. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I’ll wear floral… like that one time in Boracay! Lol

I’d like to point out, I actually purchased nothing new for this blog post and put together items I already have, which I had so much fun styling. It was like shopping… but in YOUR OWN WARDROBE! Mind blown. Go though your clothes and pair them, tuck them and accessorise them in different ways to make them feel brand new. I never thought to wear my pink twist front shirt tucked into mom jeans, which made the look more polished and dressy. I will link some similar new items if you feel you want to buy and recreate these looks. 🙂
