Asia 2014

I don’t recall doing this much walking and exploring since our trip to Japan in 2009. Saying there was so much to see and do is an understatement! We visited Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong (with 2 day trips to Macau and Shenzhen) and Singapore. Each city had their own unique charm and appeal.

I loved the culture rich Kuala Lumpur with its vibrant colours and amazing tourist attractions. We saw the Batu Caves and climbed right to the top. I did get my brand new (still unopened and in wrapping!) Karl Lagerfeld handbag stolen by a monkey with good taste, you know, as you do, but managed to get it back with some clever food bribing. Funny story now, but at the time there might have been tears and a drama queen moment! 🙂

Hong Kong was an absolute favourite! Wow, just wow! Apart from all the great tourist attractions,  just walking around the streets taking in the fast-paced culture and exploring the city was nothing short of amazing. The shopping… OMG! Okay, NYC has shopping, but this place has SHOPPING like you’ve never seen before! An uber cool spot we loved was called Lan Kwai Fong, which is an area jam packed with bars and clubs with everyone bar hopping.  Probably the best night of our trip!

Singapore was also great too! Again, shopping, hello Orchard road! Singapore had a certain up-market glam to it. All the buildings and architecture blew as away.

This video was so much fun to make and I chose a happy song as I wanted to get the locals involved, which they were more than willing to be part of. It’s my tradition to make these music clip type videos, set to a song for our travels to give our videos a point of difference. Be sure to check out the others by clicking on the travel videos tag on the home page!

Enjoy  tsj xx

Hi Lilian, If you have only time for one I would probably suggest the Big Buddha in HK as it’s a whole experience in itself with going on the chair lifts. The view is just beautiful! There is a lot to do around that area too. Have fun! xx
